Purpose:
Our purpose is to promote true Christian Charity, the love of God for parish and our neighbor, and Christian family life. Under the direction of the Priest, we are charged with maintaining all vestments (for Priests and altar servers), altar linens and all other furnishings utilized during the Mass such as wine, chalices, patens, floral arrangements, items for Baptism, etc.
Membership:
All women of the parish of age 18 and older are welcomed and encouraged to join.
Current membership enrollment is 43 women.
A member may join at any time with membership dues payable at joining time. A membership drive will be
held in October each year.
Membership dues are $5.00 and are due in October.
Meetings are held quarterly with the time and place announced.
Election of Officers:
Officers are elected in May by members who are present for the meeting.
President: Cynthia Prcin
The President shall fulfill the duties that are normally assigned to the president.
Vice President: Irene Kaulfus
The Vice-President will perform duties as needed by the President.
Secretary: Judy Vaculin
The Secretary shall keep an accurate account of all proceedings of each regularly scheduled meeting as well as any special called meeting. She is also required to answer mailings and report notifications from others.
Treasurer: Debbie Vansa
The Treasurer shall receive and be responsible for all the funds of the Society, including receiving and paying bills after approval. Keep records of expenditures and receipts. She shall give a financial report at each regular meeting or when called upon by the President. She is responsible for fund reporting to the Parish Council or church secretary.
Parliamentarian: Sharon Richter
The Parliamentarian maintains focus during meetings.
Clerical Endowment Fund:
Our association participates in the Clerical Endowment Fund which supports our clergy and seminarians.
Rural Life:
Rural life Mass is in August of each year located at a different parish. The Bishop offers Mass to honor a lay person/couple from a parish and a member of religious life who have been nominated from a parish for all of their contributions to rural life. The honorees are announced during the Mass and given a plaque. A meal follows the Mass which is furnished by the hosting parish.
